State boys hockey: Hermantown, St. Thomas Academy tied after first period

Hermantown’s Chris Benson just did what no other boys hockey player had done against St. Thomas Academy during this year’s playoffs: score a goal. The Hawks and Cadets are tied 1-1 after one period of today's Minnesota Class A high school championship game in St. Paul.
