Reader’s view: When did Democrats become so mean-spirited?

My wife was in a local bookstore the other day to purchase “Killing Lincoln.” She already read “Killing Kennedy” and said it was the best book she ever read. She may be a bit biased because Kennedy was her favorite president, and she always has been caught up in the Kennedy aura.
