The United Northern Sportsmen’s Club holds its 60th annual Ice Fishing Contest from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. today on Island Lake north of Duluth. The entry fee is just $5, and you might win a prize. The headquarters is right across from the United Northern Sportsman’s Club property on St. Louis County Highway 4, about a mile north and east of the Island Lake bridge.
