Reader's view: Note to sheriff: Federal law trumps states’ rights

Huzzah! Finally we have a sheriff — Robin Cole of Pine County, that crucible of democracy — willing to stand tall and walk tall in defense of his infallible interpretation of the Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States (“Pine County sheriff ‘will not enforce’ further federal gun regulations,” Jan. 16).
