Local view: Bayfront plan should be made for Duluthians, not a single enterprise

The original waterfront plan adopted by the city of Duluth in the 1980s favored indigenous design to prevail over inauthentic motifs. Fortunately, the renovation of brick and brownstone warehouses and the gentrification of Canal Park preserved its industrial past, in turn fueling its success.
