Reader’s view: GOP has no reason to reject Obama Cabinet picks

Why do congressional Republicans seem to feel they have the right to pick President Obama’s Cabinet for him? First they shamelessly bullied the eminently qualified Susan Rice into dropping out of consideration for secretary of state. They slandered her by claiming she deliberately misled the American people in her report on Benghazi. And they lacked the character to apologize even when it became abundantly clear she had strictly followed the talking points prepared by the CIA.
