Local view: Tailor education to the needs of individual students

My thoughts on what we want for our Duluth students reflect what Charles Murray, a W.H. Brady scholar, wrote in his books, “Real Education” and “The Bell Curve.” Our children are our most precious possession, yet Murray emphasized that “half of the children are below average,” that “ability varies,” that “too many people are going to college” and that “America’s future depends on how we educate the academically gifted.”
