Reader’s view: Bring back militias to end gun violence through regulation

The Newtown, Conn., massacre kick-started a new conversation about our national love affair with guns and countervailing concerns regarding their proper use and regulation. I am as glad for this as I am disappointed in the shoot-from-the-hip response of the National Rifle Association.
