Cliffs donates $100,000 for equipment purchase

Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. announced Hibbing Taconite made a $100,000 contribution toward the purchase of a heavy equipment simulator for Hibbing Community College. The technology will provide simulation of several types of mining equipment, such as production trucks and shovels. The simulator will be available to students pursuing careers in the mining industry and enable the current work force to remain technologically proficient in the use of modern mining equipment.
