Astro Bob blog: Sunspot group 1598 unleashes powerful flare

Late yesterday evening a big sunspot group cut loose a powerful flare. While not directed toward the Earth, should the group continue to spout, we'll soon be in the line of fire. We'll also see what's new with Saturn and Jupiter.
