Z, I asked you to explain the difference, apparently you haven't a clue, not surprising. Amy is vastly more responsive to her constituency than any republican in memory.

Mark, obviously I disagree with you, the future marketplace will be on a larger geographical scale, more widespread. In the age of the internet people can live far from their offices and still be efficient in their work. Not having to be crowded into a major metro area to make a living is very appealing. Manufacturing can be done outside the major manufacturing centers where real estate is much cheaper. Manufacturer workers can live farther away and still have access. Rail is an investment in our future and forward looking leaders can see that future now. It is sad that you are trapped into last century thinking.

First of all, a train is not going to help the economy of Duluth or the range by any significant amount, if any. And if such a train were to be built, it better charge riders close to what it costs to make the trip and not look for major subsidies from taxpayers (certainly no more than road subsidies). If riders don't have to own a car, pay insurance and be stuck with car repairs, those savings can pay for a fair share of the ticket price. The future of Duluth's economy lies with identifying those business activities which can survive the climate, serve the local populace with value, take advantage of tourist and vacation desires, and provide affordable opportunities for entertainment. No one is going to locate a major business in this area who doesn't like the basics of what the area is, and feel they can recruit employees who will like the same environment. This isn't a matter of "Build it and they will come", it is a matter of making the best of what you have and then people will come if they like it. I continue to be amazed by the expensive trials and tribulations cities and communities bring upon themselves in desperate hope some miracle will happen.

Jennifer, it is preferable to a GOP hack. Z, TP is doing exactly as you claim, so tell me how it is different. Based on their records in office Sen. Klobuchar far outshines the tarnished TP.

Obviously wrong again, LouieJerry. Klobuchar is globetrotting to benefit her next election run.

Rolf, we already have buses to and from the TC but they can only handle a small portion of the traffic, we need to add rail connections if we expect the transit to provide for business and commerce on a level for growth. Z, the difference, of course, is that Amy is traveling for the benefit of her constituents whereas TP is doing it for his own ambitions.

So Amy, are you going to get the provision to tax medical devices, which will disproportionately hurt Minnesotans, out of the democrat health bill? Are you even trying? --->> Klobuchar cited Minnesota’s medical device and tourism industries as examples of global potential<<---

I see how this works. Klobuchar globetrotting and promoting MN. is a good thing............Pawlenty globetrotting and promoting MN. is a bad thing. MN. liberals at their finest.
