So wait, KBJR "requires" these huge gaps? I don't do the CCN parade, so I don't know how it all ends up panning out, but I do go to my hometown's Memorial/4th/LaborDay parades every year and there are NEVER huge gaps that force people to wait. Small gap maybe, but everyone has their head out of their butt enough to figure out how to catch up. You'd think a city as big as Dultuh could get it right, but then again it IS Duluth...

Ever since I was a little kid, there have been rude adults and teens...those teens are now the parents of the little children who are being blocked. Duluth has become to big for it's small town britches...Parades are for everyone and if we remember that...kindness can be seen!

I believe the problems with the crowd constricting the road would be reduced if there were a bit more police presence to ask that folks move back and more importantly if KBJR, after so many years of doing this parade, could get their scheduling figured out to eliminate or reduce the huge gaps. Yes, people need to show more respect, but KBJR needs to be better organized and understand that the parade doesn't start and stop at thier studio.

How polite is it to make people who brave the cold to support this event cool their heels while KBJR runs commercials?
