I'm sick of hearing about this stuff. From the few times I've even encountered Rod he's been a nice guy. Being a male, I was a bit surprised when he even complimented me on a particular exercise I was doing, but that's his personality. I understand his comments being wrong. There's no question to me that the things he was saying were inappropriate. However, he is a bubbly guy that is friendly with these people. He acts like a peer rather than an instructor, and that is what's wrong. He has been disciplined and ran through the mud for a week now. Let this stuff rest. I notice the Online DNT has little about the shootings in Texas. Really shouldn't be a slow news day.

FROM THE MODERATOR: The attack at Fort Hood was the first, front-and-center item on the DNT homepage at the start of the day, and we have more than one story related to the incident on our Web site. We also covered it a significant amount Thursday.

B.K., "his reputation is being dragged through the mud again and again," pretty sure "Hot Rod Raymond" did that to himself. And, Kevin F. "slow news days", really? You are okay with people sexual harassing others and not getting reprimanded? Imagine if they were your daughters or girlfriends? This is only the tip of the iceberg! If all the other young ladies came forward with their creepy stories, you could write a book. . . a novel. . . a mini series!!!

Let this story die!! He tried to pick up some girls and crossed the line with a couple that he was a direct superior over. The others in the report that are being used to show a "pattern" were community members taking fitness classes, it is NOT illegal to ask them to come over to your house and try to seduce them...he may be creapy and a dirtball when it comes to women, but what in the report was actually illegal??

Who wrote this article? It probably was written by a female reporter. You know the types. Strong statements regarding equal rights for women, how the "John's" control women.....and then after finishing up her day job, goes down to the "toga" and dances for a lil extra cash. Lighten up! If the bill has been paid, then it is done. But if he does it again, gone!

When the Chancellor believes it is appropriate for her to spray water on the coach of a visiting women's hockey team during a game, why would anyone expect her to see sexual harrassment in this situation?

This is not old news, and I commend the DNT for keeping up on it. I have had these questions linger in my mind ever since this story broke, but unfortunately I ma not in a position to get answers. I don't see how it is possible for Chancellor Martin to make this decision on her own, and not have to justify it, especially when she goes against the recommendation of an investigative authority. The people who want this story to go away are in fact, contributing to protecting the behavior of Mr. Raymond. Clearly these people have never been harassed and thus have no sympathy for the victims. By not taking any action and hoping this story goes away will just condone the action of Rod, and the institution what talks out of both sides of its mouth. What is wrong with questioning things?

When the news cycle is slow in Duluth, we like to grab something out of the witch hunt file....Let us see here, oh yeah, re-run the Raymond story. It's old, He's been punished, there are new rules in place to prevent anything from happening again, and his reputation is being dragged through the mud again and again by people who most likely have no first hand knowledge of what went on or how the investigation played out. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to the Brewhouse for something yummy to eat.
