As more stories come out about this guy, eventually UMD will be forced into doing what they should have done long ago. Zero tolerance? Hah! I'm waiting for the lawsuit to hit. It'll be a big one...

Ummm, if a teacher tells you you look "sexy" it is inappropriate, no matter how you look at it. If a male teacher started calling me "honey" or "sweetie" or any such blithering nicknames, he'd find his tongue attached to his nether regions. And no, it wouldn't matter if he was an old, pudgy teacher or a younger, narcissistic "I'm good looking teacher".

We are all responsible to whom? Ourselves. Stop whining and crying ladies and be strong! Stand up for your selves! I always told my girls when they were growing up to never, ever take crap from men. If you don't like it, say so. On the other end of the spectrum, respect your Father, Husband and Boyfriend though. Never shrink back when morals, principles and your bible trained conscious are threatened.

Martin R, they are attempting to show a pattern of behavior, which it is clear Rod has. It is predatorial and sexually harassing vulnerable women.

Even an article about a community event would be more interesting than this

Clearly sexual harassment IS tolerated at UMD if this guy still gets to keep his job.

He deserves what he gets as this behavior is not acceptable from a professional in a work environment. This is not a lynch mob either from the DNT as this story needs to be told and make everyone in this area aware of this man's behavior. Calling someone "honey" or "darling" is widely used in the South but it isn't acceptable at work. It sounds as though he has behaved this way for years and as time has moved on and situational awareness has been preached to the masses about sexual harrassment he finally will have to answer to his behavior! I remember at one time nobody thought about that scenario but now a person is taught about the policy at every job and how it is not tolerated.

Read the "Local View" piece, and then go read the report again, and then ask yourself why, in this "investigation", were witnesses allowed to "compare their experiences" regarding accusations made against Mr. Raymond. It's called witness collusion, and it stinks! Also, the three so-called "witnesses" were NOT even UMD students when the alleged incidents occurred, and the alleged incidents occurred OFF CAMPUS. SO why are they included in the report? At least one of the two original "girls" has already recanted and said this was blown way out of proportion. So let's get off the witch hunt already!
