Tax the poor people. Blame the Governor. Blame the Mayor (remember Doty?). I actually believe Mayor Ness has done the best job he can under the circumstances. Blame the President (Obama or Bush?) Stop complaining and find constructive solutions to your own problems. Even as I write, "political analyst" Doty regurgitates on his views of the current election.

You pay for it with your own casino and not begging for 18% of slot machine gross. Give the tribe the boot, close down there operations and Duluth build it on Central High School site. Everyone knows the tribe wants that site..... Down town Duluth is just a memory. Thats how you pay for it, you get the whole 100% not a bread crumb. Sure wish Charlie Bell was MAYOR........

Excerpted from "You can't send a Duck to Eagle School." WalkTheTalk.com "One of the biggest reasons many leaders fail is their unwillingness to accept their limitations. Ego gets in the way. They feel they're smart enough to do it all, and minstaknely feel what they don't know they can learn 'on the fly.' So many times it's a recipe for disaster."

The city doesn't have to accept most of the programs that the state has but who can pass them up when the state promises to pay for the tab then a few years later backs out. Quit taking these so called free programs and start thinking a few years down the road. The mayor has to accept some of the blame since he was on the council and during that time he voted for many of the free state programs. The state is short of money and something has to give, either the city has to increase taxes to pay for these programs or cut them. The govenor is doing what he has to do to curb spending. Don't complain about the govenor then accept $67 million dollars from the state for the DECC plus about $16 million for the Aquarium.

The boy blunder is going to have to learn to lie and blame other people a lot better if he is ever going to replace his "mentor" and idle, Oberstar. You need to be a lot more believeable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Donny are you still sitting on 10's of millions of dollars in casino money? Yes you are. Just the latest in a long line of DFL jokes in the mayors office. This guy hasn't seen a tax or a fee he wouldn't support. Tax & spend, Tax & spend, Tax & spend Since Ness has sat on the city council and now in the mayors office people are being taxed out of their homes. Keep those assessors running Donny. Keep those assessments going up Donny. Keep those fees going up Donny. Don't forget to find some "new" fees Donny. The fools in this town will elect you again Donny.

I wish all of these clowns would just stop shooting off their mouths and think clearly for even one minute. The state tells local governments that they HAVE to provide certain services to their residents. Then we get some clown in St. Paul who says "the state isn't going to pay for these services, it's up to you". So just how are these local governmental entities supposed to pay for said services? And who would be the first ones to complain if there weren't any services to benefit them?

Mayor Ness: What happened to the $80+ million from the Fond du Luth Casino revenue? What happened to the interest on that $. Some of the streets are NOW finally being repaired, but isn't most of that stimulus $? Has the City been duped?
