Connect the dots, everyone. This isn't about going green. B. S. There is no Global Warming. It's about destroying what's left of America's struggling industry. It's about transforming us into a weak Socialist nation, making us responsible for the green development of third world counties. It's about penalizing successful entrepreneurs by giving their hard earned wealth to welfare losers. It about destroying American principles. This picture is starting to appear. Wake-up people before it's too late.

what we need is another company to compete with minnesota power. because of their monopoly, they can do whatever they want for no good reason at all. get some competition out there, and all these extra fees and charges will be dropped.

I love it!!! Ignorant voters put politicians into office that push enviro-wacko policies backed by junk science, and then people wonder why are we getting hosed with constant rate and fee increases? It is truly laughable. Just wait until Husseins Cap and trade costs kick in, doubling your power bills. Just wait until Husseins free money (stimulus) costs kick in. The MN Power 20% increase will be reflected upon as "The good old days". Keep electing fiscally stupid politicians. We are starting to reap what the ignorant voters have sowen. Cities in the northern tier of this country will become ghost towns because nobody will be able to afford the energy costs to live and work here.

Shouldn't a business plan for growth by reinvesting from their current revenue streams? Most businesses would not have the luxury of continuing to increase their prices to improve/change their infrastructure; it would drive customers away. Utility companies don't face competition and don't need to look at their business plan to use current resources to reinvest in their business...which is sad and scary.

The Midwest is going to die! Most power generation in the Midwest is coal based. When Cap and Trade comes into effect, we will see a huge decline in manufacturing jobs in this region. The crazy part of this is that without Global Climate Policy, all the manufacturing and industrial jobs will continue to move to China and India. We are part of a global economy, and without global oversight on climate legislaton, we are basically handicapping our economy. Go China!

Going green costs green backs. Just wait until the Obama administration passes Carbon legislation! If you think this rate increase is outrageous...just wait! This will be a drop in the bucket!

Non existence of global warming oops, I mean global climate change will cost the taxpayers billions and for what? The planet has been cooling for the last 11 years. Brazil drills for oil over the U.Sthat is being paid by the U.S., France builds nuclear over the U.S., clean coal technology is ready and we aren't allowed to move it forward. Open your wallets and get ready to pay due to environmental wacko's junk science.
