I wonder what the area ditches and non-designated trails looked like after the riders left.

Wow, I have to agree that the whole Northland is apparently populated with a bunch of scrooges. You people really need to go take some happy pills or something, just because you don't enjoy an activity such as this you call for it to stop? Ridiculous. You don't hear us complaining about whatever hobbys you might have. If you don't like the activitiy, don't read the story on it. MartinK, people are allowed to spend their hard earned money any way they want to, and if that includes going for a wheeler ride, then so be it. I wouldn't be letting anyone tell me what I can and cannot spend my paychecks on that's for sure.

Yeah ... Let's not ever have any fun again, ever. Or let anyone else have fun, either. It should be against the law. It just makes other people mad! We won't stand for it. Bring on the bad news!

Well, I guess you had to have been there. It was a chance to make new friends and enjoy riding the trails with them and showing off the country I love. To me the record was a secondary thing, it brought money into my small town and the people who visited said they would love to come back. The parade was a joy as all the locals lined the parade route waving and shouting welcome, even the people at the Vets Home came out to watch. If thats nonsense to you...so be it.

It's hard to imagine that the economy is in poor shape, unemployment is high and people all over the Northland are whining about rate increases and "everything going up",when you read that there is money for such nonsense as this.
