rdner, this includes you:The pedantic crap the the flat earthers here froth out merely demonstrates their infantile intelligence. They pretend to know "the truth" about climate when they don't even know how that differs from weather; in incredulous style they seem to proclaim and be proud of their stupidity as though knowledge and experience are negative attributes. Even worse they equate science with communism, another term they do not understand. Thinking they can change reality by constantly attacking anyone who shows the slightest pro environmental thought does not advance their cause, but like all fundamentalist movements, they are doomed to being nothing more than a pea under a mattress.

Yikes!!! The sky is falling, the sky is falling!!! Amazing how little lemmings are willing to buy into the Global Warming, now more appropriately called climate change scam. This scam was started by Al Gore, the same Al Gore who almost failed high school science classes, the same Al Gore who claimed he created the internet, the same Al Gore who TWICE in speaches claimed that "a zebra will never change its spots". This is the leader of the little lemmings? His handlers had to resort to lies and distortions of facts to develop the movie Gore starred in "An Inconvenient Truth". Had Gore actually known anything about science he would never have appeared in that movie. Still the lemmings follow blindly, unthinking, unknowing. Gore has promoted this scam because he owns the company that sells carbon offsets. Conflict of interest, you think? He know that he stands to male billions off of the ignorant lemmings, all he has to do is push junk science on the ignorant and they will follow. 100 years of recorded temps is NOTHING compared to the overall scheme of things. The gasseous output of one decent volcano will be more than all the engines on earth, combined.

It's difficult to have a substantive discussion about global warming when academia continues to use junk science to back its claim that humans are to blame. The human impact is minimal. To ignore scientists who say the sun is the primary culprit is disingenuous. It is this flawed commentary and the pending legislation in Washington that are going to lead this country to financial ruin. So sad.

Why don't all you worn-out hippies just go live in the woods? Nobody fell for it in the 60s and nobody's falling for it now. Go worship Mother Earth, smoke your weed, bang on your drums and be miserable, but leave the rest of us alone already.

Wow Al Gore would be proud. If you can't get people to live like you want them to then scare them into it. If our summers in Duluth get any hotter we might actually be able to wear shorts next year and with the 5th snowfall thus far in Oct we need to act now.

Thanks, John, for reminding us of the science behind the warming that has taken place since the early 1970s. In addition to CO2, there are other human generated gases which contribute to warming. All that nitrogen fertilizer we use on cornfields to make moonshine for our gas tanks is releasing nitrous oxide(N2O), molecule for molecule a more potent GHG than CO2. Gases containing fluorine are even more potent as global warmers for reasons too complicated to cover here. Rolf Westgard, professional member, Geological society of America.
