There is something fundamentally disturbing about the Duluth area that this story highlights: hopelessness. I grew up there and I can attest, at least anecdotally, to a community that places low expectations on its youth. Why not Huff? If you feel your life has very little meaning and there is no one around you telling you different, then in your mind Huffing is a perfectly valid thing to do. Of course, everyone is responsibile for thier own actions but the local community in Duluth needs a change of culture or this type of behavior will only get worse.

Michael A is correct, and people die from this all the time. If you're going to be stupid and risk your own life, at least stay off the roads and give the rest of us a chance to live. I have no desire to have your car crashing into mine simply because you lack the ability to make good choices.
