What's up with her knees? They're sticking out like 6 inches. Thomas G., are you one of the three people in the DNT article about wanting to move to Duluth? The article stated that three more people wanted to move to Duluth this year but if you weren't one of the ones counted, you would be the elusive number 4. This completely changes everything. We really do need to keep all 3 high schools open with this new influx of future residents.

thomas g. ; a dog gets treated better because the dog doesn't have drug priors on it's record, nor did it drive around high in a 2,000 lb motor vehicle and crash into a building. Show me a dog that does that and I'll treat it the same.

What is it that some of you just don't get? It's fine to emphathize and to wish this person well and hope they get treatment. However, unless or until she does so, she's clearly a danger to society and needs to be taken off the streets. That's not cruel. That's being prudent. The fact that she was on probation for an earlier drug conviction screams the need for treatment. But there's also a need to pay the price when we break the law. You can't empathize her to good health. Being in jail will take all the distractions away from her so she can concentrate on getting healthy. And the rest of us can walk the streets just a little bit safer.

I have read through some of the comments and I had to stop. I'm amazed at the stupid comments some people have about someone they don't even know. Before you should comment maybe you should learn what addiction is. I'm not an addict or recovering, but I have the empathy to understand or at least try to understand what she is going through. Maybe the reason you choose to look down at her is it makes you feel more superior or maybe its just as you look down on her and others like her. that you don't notice what is above you.

Its to bad to see some of the readers comments in regards to this lady. A dog gets treated with better dignity. We all have problems at one time or another in life. This person obviously has some major issues to address. I would rather my tax dollars go to help her rather than being wasted in Iraq. Ps, being from Milwaukee, Duluth is a great place to visit and one day I hope to live in Duluth!

The News Tribune publishes photos of criminal suspects all the time. What's the difference with this one? Absolutely none.

How bad does this paper need to get before someone does something? Why are there pictures of this girl, especially while doing the sobriety test? I'm not a journalist or english major but I've counted more misspelled words this week than I have appendages and now this. Unbelievably unprofessional and tacky!

FROM MULTIMEDIA EDITOR JIMMY BELLAMY: There are pictures from the scene because Fox 21 News was on site for the story. Let me know of those misspelled words and I will make corrections. Thanks for reading, Matt.
