John Lindgren, St. Louis River Area of Concern Program Coordinator for the Minnesota DNR, will give a presentation on lake sturgeon in the St. Louis River Estuary and Western Lake Superior. The presentation will provide information on the history of the extirpation of lake sturgeon in the area and the successful program initiated by the Minnesota and Wisconsin Departments of Natural Resources to reestablish the population after the Western Lake Superior Sanitary District came on line in 1979.
