Celebrate Kalevala Day! Sunday, February 24, 2013, at 1:00 pm at Kenwood Lutheran Church, 2720 Myers Avenue. Sponsored by the Ladies of Kaleva Aallottaren Tupa. Program - David Kess and Eila Ivonen of Virginia MN will bring an old Sampo (mill) from the Knights of Kaleva archives and will share the Kalevala stories of the nine paintings on this unique Sampo. Music - the "Kalevala Melody" by Kanteleen Soittajat. Conversation and coffee time afterwards. (Delicious Finnish goodies included!)
Admission Information: Open to the public. Free will donation.
