The Wind Band of East Helsinki Music Institute will be performing in Duluth on August 2. This high school aged Band from Finland is touring the upper Midwest and making a stop in Duluth. The concert is free and open to the public. The Wind Band was founded in 1995 to provide an ensemble for the wind instrument players of the Music Institute of Eastern Helsinki, in Finland. Over the years it has grown to become a band of forty players, with the age range of 13 to 20 years.
