The American Cancer Society says that black men have the highest rate of prostate cancer in the U.S., and American Indian men are twice as likely to die of colon cancer as other U.S. men. Latino and Asian men are two to three times more likely to get stomach and liver cancer than white men.

Check out the new toys at the library—literally!

The Duluth Library Foundation received a grant from the Duluth Legacy Endowment Fund to purchase more than 100 toys, ranging from games, dolls, cars and “tool” kits. Of these, 64 can be checked out for two weeks. The rest of the toys can be played with in the children’s area.
