Nolan co-sponsors bill to streamline approval of aviation technologies 
The bill would require the FAA to speed up proposed reforms to its certification process. If passed, the legislation would require the FAA to have the proposed new rules and processes up and running before the end of 2015.

Last Place on Earth owner Jim Carlson served second nuisance notice 
The city of Duluth fired another legal salvo at the Last Place on Earth, a local head shop, Tuesday, by serving owner Jim Carlson with a second notice of public nuisance, related to the business’ sale of synthetic drugs. A previous notice had been filed against the property at 124 E. Superior St. in August 2012.
