John and Virginia Nelson 60th wedding anniversary

John and Virginia Nelson of Duluth celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family celebration and open house.

John and Virginia Nelson of Duluth celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family celebration and open house.

John and the former Virginia Erickson were married Oct. 16, 1948, in Duluth.

Their children are Dan and Carol Nelson of Wyoming, Minn.; Diane Nelson of Wausau, Wis.; Bruce and Dale Nelson of Lino Lakes, Minn.; and Brian and Kathy Nelson of Circle Pines, Minn. They have 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

John is retired from Jon Photography in Duluth. Virginia is also retired.
