KAREN H. GOSCH
Karen Helen Gosch, 72, of Meadowlands, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, as the result of a house fire.
Karen was born July 9, 1941, to Edward and Florence (Leeseberg) Gosch in Elmhurst, Ill. She lived in Kenosha, Wis., where she worked as a registered nurse at Society's Assets, Hospice Alliance, Upjohn and St. Catherine's Hospital. She was employed as an RN with approximately 50 years of working experience. She volunteered for the Pleasant Prairie EMT's in the late 1980's early 1990's and during that time period she helped serve at the Shalom Center in Kenosha.
Karen married John Stoessel June 15, 2002, in Good Shepherd Church in Pleasant Prairie, Wis. They made their home in Meadowlands where she was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Proctor Community Band, a volunteer with St. Luke's hospice and active with her husband in Civil War reenactments 8th Wisconsin located in Eau Claire, Wis.
She was employed as a registered nurse for senior friends in the Meadowlands area and recently retired in 2012.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Karen is survived by her husband, John Stoessel, of Meadowlands; children Caroline Moe and William Moe, both of Kenosha; granddaughter Chloe; sister Linda (Dennis Kruse) Gosch of Sarasota, Fla.; and four step-children.
A GATHERING OF FRIENDS AND FAMILY: 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, in the Meadowlands Community Center. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial: 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Meadowlands.
Interment will be at a later date at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Elmer, Minn.
