Holly Rae Deasy, 69, of Lewiston, Idaho, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at Wedgewood Terrace in Lewiston.
Holly was born in Lewiston, Jan. 30, 1944, to Robert and Betty Hobson.
She graduated from Cheney High School in 1962. She attended the graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from the Lewis-Clark Normal School in 1967.
On Aug. 9, 1969 she was united in marriage to Gene Paul Deasy. Over the course of their marriage they made their home in Clarkston, Wash., American Samoa, Lewiston, Idaho and Cloquet, Minn. Holly taught school in Lewiston, Samoa and Cloquet.
Her passion was teaching children, she taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade. She also volunteered with the Gifted and Talented programs including Future Problem Solving and Odyssey of the Mind.
She also volunteered at hospitals in Lewiston and Cloquet and also in various civic groups.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; adoptive father Joe Williams and her husband, Gene.
She is survived by her brother Mike Williams of Othello, Wash.; her son Sean and his wife Lisa (Trueman) along with Sean’s daughter Kylie and Lisa and Sean's children Tyler and Addison; Holly’s son Scott and his wife Kelli (Zimny) and their children Harper, Lauren and Robert.
SERVICE: 1 p.m. Friday Jan. 24 in St. James Church in Lewiston, she will be buried at Mountain View in Lewiston.
