André P. Brissett, 62, lifelong resident of Cloquet, died Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, of an apparent heart attack.
The son of Loretta and the late Robert Brissett, he was a 1969 graduate of Cloquet High School, attended UMD, was a employee of Sappi Paper Co., formerly Potlatch, for nearly 40 years and a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
He loved fishing, enjoyed raising and owning dogs and admired finely made motor vehicles, but his deepest devotion was to his family. His gruff manner never completely disguised his gentle and enormously generous heart.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Koszarek, Cloquet; his mother, Loretta Brissett, Cloquet; son, Stokes (Annie Rosen) Brissett, Cloquet; daughter, Emily Brissett, Duluth; brother, Paul (Jane) Brissett, Duluth; sisters, Bridget (Bruce) Munson, Duluth, Erin (Dan) Erkkila, Grand Rapids, Cassandra Brissett, Cloquet, Magloire Sharstrom, La Crosse, Wis. and Mary Brissett, Alexandria, Minn.; a half-brother, Cormac Brissett, Milwaukee; friend and ex-son-in-law, John White, Cloquet; and seven grandchildren.
