Betty Lee Konsti, 83, of Duluth, passed away Dec. 22, 2013 at Barnes Care Assisted Living in Esko, Minn.
Betty was born Feb. 7, 1930 in Willernie, Minnesota to Frank and Liala Sand.
Betty graduated from McGregor High School in 1948 and married Bernard Konsti Oct. 2, 1949 in McGregor, Minn. Together they lived and raised their family in Duluth, Betty being a homemaker and also working at Duluth Avonicis for a few years.
She was very active in her church belonging to the Hope Circle, Christian Women, and Stonecroft Bible Study Group. She was a Girl Scout Leader, a member of the Norton Park Garden Club and loved sewing crafts.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother Jerry Sand.
Betty is survived by daughter Mary (Joe) Lewis of Centerville, Va.; son Bernie (Kathy) of Duluth; two grandsons and two granddaughters; one great granddaughter; sister Maryann Carr of McGregor.
The family would like to thank the Staff of Barnes Care and Essentia Hospice for the wonderful care given to mom.
VISITATION: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Funeral Service on Saturday, Dec. 28 at Asbury U.M.C., 6822 Grand Ave., Duluth with Reverend Cindy Rasmussen officiating. Burial will be at Oneota Cemetery.
