Walter Karl Seabury, 81, of Cloquet, died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, at his home.
Walt was born in High Bridge, Wis., to Walter and Elsie Seabury. He graduated from Cloquet High School in 1951 and joined the Coast Guard in 1952. On Aug. 6, 1960, he married Judith Anderson at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cloquet.
Walt was a self-employed over-the-road trucker. He was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cloquet. He enjoyed auction sales, 5th-wheel camping, reading westerns, crossword puzzles and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Walter Charles; mother and step-father, Elsie and Leonard Lund; brother Grant Seabury; sister Shirley Pease; and his buddy, Chloe.
Walt is survived by his wife, Judith; children Mary Ann Carlson of Victoria, Minn., Yvonne (Rick) Likness of Madison, Wis., and Susan Seabury and Walter Seabury, both of Cloquet; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother Donald (Marion) Seabury of Cloquet; brother-in-law Carroll Pease of Esko; several nieces and nephews; and three grand-dogs.
VISITATION: 5-7 p.m. today and noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service Monday, all in Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 515 Skyline Blvd., Cloquet. Military Honors will be accorded by the Cloquet Combined Honor Guard. Spring burial will be at Perch Lake Cemetery in Cloquet.
