Health Notes: Mental health help for youth

The University of Minnesota Duluth continuing education department is crossing the bridge to offer youth mental health first aid certification training on Nov. 9.
The class that helps learners identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Room 2440 in the Marcovich Wellness Center on the University of
Wisconsin-Superior campus. People must be 16 or older to take the class, but no prior mental health care experience is required.
The cost is $135 per person. Light refreshments are provided, but lunch is on your own.
