Like father, like daughter. Scott Carlson shot his first deer on his first day out hunting. He daughter, Rachel, also shot her first deer on her first day of hunting. They were both 12 years old and both shot their deer within one hour of being in the woods. Rachel’s parents are Scott and MJ Carlson of Lakeville, Minn. Grandparents are Evie and Jim Pollock and Mary Lee and Ken Carlson, all of Duluth, and Gabe and Mary Kerekes of Perham, Minn.
