Anine Marie Lufholm, 53, of Lake Nebegamon, formerly of Duluth died Wednesday in her home after a nine year battle with breast cancer.
Anine was born September 6, 1960 in Duluth to Donald and Lois (Larson) Lufholm. She graduated from Duluth East and went on to cosmetology school. She styled hair at Art of hair in Duluth and also worked at Tiger Tanning Salon and Spa in Poplar, WI. Anine enjoyed cooking, bead working, watching the Food Network, making slide shows for family and friends, bird watching, painting, ice fishing, gardening, stained glass works and rowing in the Dragon Boat races with other cancer survivors. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and her pets, Duke, Lucy and Mr. Bocephus.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald.
Anine is survived by her longtime companion, Scott L. Holden of Lake Nebegamon, WI; her daughter and son, Kayleigh E. Fogarty of Duluth and Adam L. Holden of Lake Nebegamon and her mother, Lois Lufholm of Duluth.
VISITATION: 3-5 p.m. Sunday in Dougherty Funeral Home, Duluth. Visitation will continue 10 a.m. to the 11 a.m. service Monday in Concordia Lutheran Church, 2501 Woodland Ave. Duluth. Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E 2nd St. Duluth, (218) 727-3555.
