St. Louis County Board
The St. Louis County board needs a fresh voice. I am running for 2nd District County Commissioner because the county board needs a female voice. Women need representation in this county. The St. Louis county board should reflect the people it serves. I will bring a different perspective to this board.
One of my priorities is to make county board meetings more accessible. When talking to residents of the county, one of the biggest complaints I hear is about the accessibility of the county board meetings. By using interactive video technology we can change the scale and character of the county board meetings.
Another priority is to better inform the residents of county services. The county website is a great source of information about the activities of the county. However, the county needs to market itself in so many other ways. The word needs to get out about the variety of services this county has to offer. The county has a duty to take care of residents — young and old.
As a county commissioner, I would work to lower taxes. We need to re-think and re-organize the county before we ask people to pay more taxes. We need to find creative ways to deliver services more efficiently.
My professional career and community leadership roles have provided me with the experience to be a great county commissioner for the 2nd District. I have been a longtime resident of St. Louis County. I have raised my three children here. I want the county to remain a clean and beautiful place to live. I will listen to the citizens of the county and work hard to help them. We can work together to make St. Louis County a wonderful place.
I ask for your support on Nov 5.
