As always, AppleFest presents attendees with a cornucopia of fun activities and arts-appreciation opportunities in a lovely part of Wisconsin during a lovely time of year. This time around, the huge list of activities includes live music by numerous acts, including Big Top Chautauqua’s Blue Canvas Orchestra and the Pipes & Drums of Thunder Bay, live dance by the Native Expressions Drum and Dance Troupe, book sales, seemingly zillions of delicious food and drink options, and the ever-delightful Apple Festival Parade. You’ve also got your hayrides, boat trips, mazes, orchard tours and so on.
If you’re within driving distance of Bayfield and you’ve never attended the festival, it’s worth the trip. You don’t even have to like apples. Admission is free, but bring money so you at least can sample all of the great food and drink.
