Reader’s view: It’s getting harder to stay semi-liberalI am angry.

I am angry.
I was raised a Democrat and voted for Ike when I came home from the Army after two years. Years later I tried my best to stay semi-liberal, but it is getting tougher all the time.
I believe in some gun control. Who needs an AK-47 to hunt deer?
I am against liberal wedding vows. I was married 55 happy years (at least on my part).
I do believe in equal education for everyone, but I am sick of hearing about poor people being deprived.
My mother made me go to the old Cathedral High, which furnished a good education if you wanted it. I had to pay my own way. I goofed off, was busy playing football and chasing Carole Brown. I just barely graduated and did not marry her. It’s my own fault on the education.
I am sick and tired of hearing about people in Duluth not getting a good education. Study, people, study!
Also, everyone in government is worried about Syria. Who cares? We are broke because of President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney. Let the Russians go broke defending Syria. The rebels do not like Russia any more than they like us. Where is the Arab League in all this? They have a standing army with America furnishing airplanes, etc. Let them handle their own problems.
