There will be peace in the park — along with arts, crafts and tons of fall food items — Saturday at Duluth’s Chester Bowl from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
More than 100 vendors are expected offering locally harvested bounty, artwork and more, with children’s activities, live music and food like caramel apples and hot sweet corn at this year’s celebration of the harvest. And because Saturday is the United Nation’s International Day of Peace, the local group Men as Peacemakers will have a peace activity for children, and there will be peace storytellers throughout the day.
There’s a $2 suggested donation at the gate. All proceeds go to supply families with ski scholarships for the Chester Bowl winter ski program.
There’s a free shuttle bus from UMD’s Parking Lot W (near the Fire Hall off Junction Avenue, follow the signs.) The park is at 1801 E. Skyline Parkway. Go to chesterbowl.org or call (218) 724-9832.
