Maxine L. Fosle, 77, of Duluth, passed away on Monday, Sept. 9, 2013 in St. Mary’s (Essentia) Hospital.
Maxine Gallipo was born the youngest of five on July 25, 1936. Maxine, raised by her mother, grew up in the Piedmont area.
She wed the love of her life Hank Fosle and to this union three children were born. They were married for 47 years until Hank’s passing in 2001. Maxine raised her family and lived in the same house on Trinity Rd. for 53 years. She spent the majority of her working career as a waitress and an in-home caregiver. She held a passionate sense of family and had the ability to remember details from years past. Maxine was a kind and generous person who cherished the close relationships she held with family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband Hank and siblings, Alvin, Melville and Helen.
Maxine is survived by three children, Dennie (Linda), Ginger (Hugh) Smith and Jeffery; grandchildren, Nicole (David) Booker, Mark Smith, Johnathan (Leah) Fosle, Darlene (Brian) Kowalik and Jessica Evans; great-grandchildren Johnathan Jr. , Chloe, Kellen, Hayden, Gavin and Paige; sister Olive as well as many extended family members and friends.
