Circle of Light, the annual fundraiser for the St. Luke’s Foundation, will take place Sept. 6 at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center.
Since it began in 2004, the event has raised $1.46 million for patient-care projects, a St. Luke’s news release said.
This year’s major project is a $200,000 expansion and remodeling of St. Luke’s Regional Cancer Center infusion therapy center and lobby. Patients receive chemotherapy and other services in the infusion center.
Previous projects have included providing defibrillators to Duluth middle schools and high schools and purchasing an advanced infant patient simulator known as a SimBaby for hospital staff and community training.
Highlight of Circle of Light will be a live and silent auction. More than 200 items include a balloon flight during the Duluth Balloon Festival and a collection of Frost River bags.
