The future bride, a 2007 graduate of Cloquet High School, graduated from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in social work. She is a social worker at Benedictine Health Center in Duluth.
The future groom, a 2006 graduate of Marantha Christian Academy in Superior, earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2010 and is pursuing a master’s degree in executive leadership through online courses from Liberty University Christian College. He is a 1st lieutenant and missileer for the U.S. Air Force.
Andrew surprised me during a visit to Wyoming with horseback riding in the mountains of Colorado. Little did I know it was going to be the most memorable moment of my life. We actually got lost on the way to the ranch, but Andrew was very calm and collected throughout the whole ordeal. We finally made it to the ranch and Andrew went and talked to the tour guide and asked him to take a picture. I didn’t think anything of this as I take pictures quite frequently. We were able to rest from riding, and our tour guide Max took a few pictures of us and all of a sudden Andrew turned to me in the middle of a beautiful open field with mountains in the background and asked me to marry him. The best thing is our tour guide captured all the pictures without my knowledge so we can always relive this memorable moment.
