Her parents are Donald and Julie Berg of Munger. His parents are James and Beverly Gostomski of Clarence, N.Y.
The future bride, a 2004 graduate of Proctor High School, graduated from Humboldt State University in Arcata, Calif., in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in wildlife, and she later earned a graduate certificate in geographic information systems from Portland (Ore.) State University. She is a remote sensing analyst with Watershed Sciences Inc. in Portland.
The future groom, a 1999 graduate of Clarence High School in N.Y., graduated from State University of New York at Plattsburgh in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He is a programmer analyst at Portland State University.
Don’t count your eggs before they hatch
Mike put the ring inside of a plastic Easter egg and placed it in the bin of baby chicks they are raising together. He took Wendy to a local wine festival for her birthday and when they returned home, asked her to check on the chicks. The egg and its prize were a very happy surprise.
