Duluth’s Bent Paddle Brewing Co. won Best Brewery honors at the second annual All Pints North craft beer festival Saturday at Bayfront Festival Park.
Bent Paddle’s Cold Press Black Ale on Nitro — a collaboration with the Duluth Coffee Co. — tied for top honors for Best Beer, sharing the prize with Minneapolis Town Hall Brewery’s Russian Roulette. The winners were determined by ballots distributed to all of the attendees of the festival, staged by the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild and featuring about 50 breweries.
Cold Press Black is Bent Paddle Black Ale infused with coffee specially roasted, blended and brewed by the Duluth Coffee Co., 105 E. Superior St. in downtown Duluth.
The beer is available at the brewery’s taproom, the Bent Tap, 1912 W. Michigan St., which is open Wednesday through Saturday afternoons and evenings.
Also receiving honors at the festival was Borealis Fermentery of Knife River, for Best Brewery Booth Display, the second year it took that award.
