Limericks by John Pierce of Duluth
At home in the town of Duluth!
The transition here was quite smooth.
Although it is cold,
The folks here are bold,
Even tho’ they are long in the tooth.
The frosty old town of Duluth,
Could hardly be seen as uncouth.
The arts there just thrive.
The folks are alive.
To be sure I am telling the truth!
It’s cold in this northern Duluth.
And still here the people are looth!
To keep themselves warm,
They make love in swarms.
In threes and in fours, also twoths!
The fabulous city Duluth
Is so frosty it makes folks confused.
They think it’s too cold
To let tourists be told
That the snow just appears ... POOF!
