This weekend you can take a one-way trip out of town — and ride your bike back.
The North Shore Scenic Railroad is hosting its first ever Bike Train on Saturday. Bike enthusiasts can load up their wheels at the Depot in Downtown Duluth and ride the rails to Two Harbors. The train will drop the bikers off around noon, leaving them with their bikes and a passport including information and directions back to the home base: Duluth Pack. After lunch and a peek at the local tourist attractions, the group will use manpower and their two-wheeled machines to conquer the 27-mile return trip.
The train leaves Duluth at 10:30 a.m. sharp, so show up a bit early to load up your bike. The tickets are $20 and can be purchased online or by phone at (800) 423-1273 or (218) 733-1273.
