Letter to the Editor: Couple takes offense to ‘plumber’s butt’There is a very offensive billboard on Arrowhead Road west of Rice Lake Road showing an exposed butt crack! The purpose is to encourage a colonoscopy to prevent cancer, but this goes too far!
There is a very offensive billboard on Arrowhead Road west of Rice Lake Road showing an exposed butt crack! The purpose is to encourage a colonoscopy to prevent cancer, but this goes too far!
The billboard says “Cover your butt! Get a Colonoscopy.”
So they should cover the butt, literally. Whether the message is beneficial or not is not our complaint. It is the exposure of a sexual body part, being the buttock crack, that concerns us. If one gets away with this we dread what the next billboard may show.
Citizens need to complain if you really care about the moral compass of your city and get rid of the billboard ASAP. Silence gives consent and it will worsen as so many other areas already have due to silence.
Complain to the billboard company, Lamar Advertising Company. Also call the Minnesota Department of Health. Also, ask the City Council and mayor for an ordinance against indecency. Protect our children’s innocence.
Jesus said, “Whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck and drowned in the depths of the sea.” Matthew 18:6
This billboard is a serious offense which has caused controversy in other Minnesota cities since March. What happened to serious investigative reporting? Blur the butt for TV and newspapers and ask people’s opinions.
Ask the Minnesota Department of Health if their immoral ad to prevent cancer is also to brainwash children that it’s OK to expose their sexuality?
