Officer Fulton C. Wilson, 93, of Duluth, passed away peacefully at home with family at his side Thursday, May 16, 2013.
He was born April 23, 1920 in Duluth to Clyde and Alvilda Wilson.
Fulton graduated from Denfeld High School and the Police Academy.
Fulton is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He served during World War II in the South Pacific. Fulton retired from the Duluth Police Department in 1980. He then established the Campus Police Department at the University of Minnesota, Duluth and was their Chief until his final retirement.
Fulton was a member of the Glenwood, Minn., V.F.W. He was devoted to his family and even in later years his face would light up when family came around.
Fulton was preceded in death by his wives, Margaret and Angie; two daughters, Wendy Wilson and Kathryn Wilson; a granddaughter, Colleen; and his siblings.
He is survived by his sons, Claude (Sally) of Lomita, Calif., and Gregory (Debbie) of Duluth; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons, Ethan and Lamar; great great granddaugher Madisyn and many other relatives and friends.
