One graduating high school senior interested in law will receive a financial boost, thanks to a new scholarship.
The 11th District Bar Association, located in Duluth, has announced that it will be awarding $2,500 to a graduating senior as a celebration of Law Week 2013, which is celebrated in early May. The scholarship is available to any student who plans on attending college or shows an interest in law or a related area, and is not limited to just aspiring lawyers.
It is available to students in Carlton, Lake, Cook and south St. Louis counties.
Applicants must submit a completed application, résumé and a personal statement regarding future plans, ambitions and financial need. Applications can be obtained from the high school guidance offices or at Legal Aid Service of Northeastern Minnesota, 424 W. Superior Street, Suite 302, Duluth MN 55802.
