The West Duluth Business Club’s monthly luncheon, which is open to the public, will feature a presentation on HealthShare, a local community-based health coverage program.

The hour-long luncheon begins promptly at noon Wednesday in the banquet room of Mr. D’s Bar & Grill, 5622 Grand Ave. in West Duluth. Cost is the cost of lunch off the menu. Reservations are encouraged via e-mail: wdbc1902@gmail.com.

HealthShare provides affordable coverage to otherwise uninsured people, especially small-business employees. Patterned after a national model, HealthShare has been operating in Northeastern Minnesota since 2008.

Jenny Peterson, the program’s director, and Wyn Mathews, business services representative, will give an overview of the program and its coverage, discuss its focus on health and wellness and highlight how the program collaborates with the health-care and broader community.
