Alyce Prichard Mackley, 93, longtime Marble resident, died peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 in the Grand Village Lodge, Grand Rapids, Minn., with her family by her side.

Alyce Prichard Mackley, 93, longtime Marble resident, died peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 in the Grand Village Lodge, Grand Rapids, Minn., with her family by her side.

She was born June 4, 1919 in Park Rapids, she was the daughter of Charles W. and Laura (Etlick) Pritchard.

Alyce was a 1937 graduate of Greenway High School and attended Itasca Community College for two years. Alyce and Wilbert A. Mackley were married on Oct. 10, 1949. She was a Charter member of the Grace Lutheran Church of Marble where she was a Sunday school teacher and secretary for 30 years and was the church organist for 58 years. Alyce was an avid supporter of Youth for Christ and the Dakota Boys Ranch, was a member of the Greenway Senior Citizens and was the “sunshine” lady.

Her husband Wilbert A. Mackley; her parents, Charles and Laura Pritchard, and a great grandchild, Paige Vitale preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Donald (Marge) Simons of Grand Rapids, Greg (Daline) Mackley of Cando, N.D., John Mackley of Stillwater, Okla., and Carol (Steve) Forneris of Grand Rapids; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and two on the way.

VISITATION: 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013 in the Peterson Funeral Chapel of Coleraine and will continue from 12 Noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service on Sunday, March 3, 2013 in Grace Lutheran Church, Marble.
